Can anything prosper in the underworld?

Hades has only known darkness in his life, first as a prisoner inside his father and when freed as the ruler of the underworld. So, when he finds what he has longed for all his life in the goddess of spring he decides to take her as his wife.

Forced into a marriage and a life she does not want, Persephone despises Hades for what he has done. And no matter how hard he tries she refuses to forget her mother and the world she has left behind.

Demeter, beyond herself with grief, is searching the world for her daughter. And with no one willing to help her she soon has nothing to lose.
